Search Tips
- Locate the search box found in the middle of the page or on top of the results page.
- Click on Business tab.
- In the Business field, enter the name of the business you're trying to find or a category name.
- Enter the city, state and/or zip code in the Location field.
- Click the search button to initiate the search or hit the Enter button on your keyboard.
TIP: Enter only part of the business name or category to avoid misspelling the name.
- Avoid being too specific, and instead search a more general term. (e.g., Target versus Target Pharmacy or School versus High School)
- Enter fewer characters on the business name or category (e.g., Gugg versus Guggenheim)
- Remove the zip code or city.
- Use a more specific search term. (e.g., Walmart Pharmacy versus Walmart or Restaurants Pizza versus Restaurants).
- Add the city, state and/or zip code in the Location field rather than just searching a state. (e.g., Orlando, FL versus FL).
- Narrow down search results by filtering by category or location using the filters on the left side of the results page.
- Click "Search By Street" to reveal the street address field, then add a specific street address (e.g., Middleton Ave) to narrow results to that street.
TIP: Results are displayed with numbered markers on an interactive map on the right side, making it easy to see the location of each listing.
After performing a search, you can narrow down your results using the filter options displayed on the left side of the results page:
- Category Filter: Shows the top categories matching your search criteria. The number of listings per category is shown in parentheses (e.g., Restaurants Pizza (32)). Click on a category to filter results to only that category.
- State Filter: Shows states where matching listings are found. Click on a state to see only results from that state.
- City Filter: After selecting a state, cities within that state will appear. Click on a city to further narrow your results.
- Clear Filters: Click the × button next to any active filter in the breadcrumb area above the results to remove that filter and expand your search again.
TIP: Filters work hierarchically - select a state first to see cities within that state, or select a category to see results only in that category.
- Locate the search box found in the middle of the page or on top of the results page.
- Click on Person tab.
- Enter the first name, if known, of the person you're trying to find in the First Name field.
- Enter the last name of the person you're trying to find in the Last Name field.
- Enter the city, state and/or zip code in the Location field.
- Click the search button to initiate the search or hit the Enter button on your keyboard.
TIP 1: Type in the entire first name, part of the first name or just the first initial.
TIP 2: Type in the entire last name or just part of the name.
- Exact matches of what was entered are returned first.
- The system automatically expands the search to include nicknames, first initial as well as expanding to surrounding areas of the originating city entered.
TIP 1: Entering more information (full last name and first name, street address, and city, state and zip code) in Search fields will result in fewer listings returned.
TIP 2: Entering less information (last name and state) in the Search fields will result in more listings returned.
- Remove the zip code or city on the location and search only the state (e.g., GA versus Atlanta, GA).
- Remove the first name or search only on the first initial of the name (e.g., J versus Jack).
- Enter fewer characters on the last name (e.g., John versus Johnson).
- Add the First Name to the first name field, instead of just searching by last name.
- Add the city and/or zip code to the Location field.
- Click "Search By Street" to reveal the street address field, then add a specific street address to narrow results.
- Use the State and City filters on the left side of the results page to narrow down by location.
TIP: Person search results are displayed with numbered markers on an interactive map, showing the location of each listing.

- Map Controls: Use the map controls to zoom in/out, switch to satellite view, or enable street view.
TIP: The map makes it easy to see the geographic distribution of results and find listings near specific locations.
